Lakeview Park

Lakeview Park

This picturesque area opened in May 2014 and features a paved portion of Onondaga Lake Park's West Shore Trail, with access to walkers and bikers. There are several small shelters along the trail with benches enabling park users to take a break and enjoy the spectacular view. In addition, the park is home to the Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater. Click here for more information about the amphitheater and the current schedule.

The area also has historical significance as it was once the site of the Lakeview Hotel. Built in 1872, the hotel was one of the earliest resorts on the western shore of the lake. Boxing exhibitions and band shows were popular events held there. By the 1920's, the Onondaga Lake resorts no longer existed.
