County Parks AND Syracuse City Parks Announces 2021 Winter Photo Contest

Onondaga County Parks is excited to announce the 2021 Winter Photo Contest which begins this week and for the first time will include Syracuse City Parks. New this year, participants will be able to scout out the best locations in Onondaga County Parks including Beaver Lake Nature Center, Highland Forest and the Rosamond Gifford Zoo along with the multitude of City Parks found throughout Syracuse in search of an award-winning photograph. 

Photographers of all abilities, ages 5 and up, are invited to enter for a chance to win prizes in five categories including Most Artistic, Best Action Shot, Best Winter Scene, Best Portrait and Junior Photographer (ages 5-17). 
To be eligible, photos must be taken at any OPEN Onondaga County Park or Syracuse City Park during the contest period of January 28-February 28, 2021. Regular admission rates apply, reservations are required to visit the zoo. Photographers must follow all park rules, stay on designated paths with the proper equipment (i.e. snowshoes, cross country skis) and obey posted signs. Flash photography is prohibited where indicated. Photo contest entries will only be accepted via the online application and are due by 4 p.m. on March 1, 2021. Late entries will not be accepted. All Covid-19 protocols must be followed, including wearing a mask when unable to social distance.
