Irish Road Bowling Tournament Returns to Onondaga Lake Park

Wednesday, February 1, 2023

Faugh A Ballagh! (Clear the Way!) Now in its 13th year, Central New York's (mostly) annual Irish Road Bowling Tournament is returning to Onondaga Lake Park in Liverpool on Sunday, March 12 at 10:00am. A popular past-time in Ireland for over 300 years, this unique mix of bocce, bowling and golf, which entails teams of four rolling a small cannonball on a marked course, will take place along two miles of the park's Shoreline Walking Trail.

Registration is now open and space is limited. The entry fee is $140 per four-person team. All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and each team will be issued a cannonball to use at the event. The afternoon will include door prizes and a complimentary lunch buffet for participants at the Liverpool Limp Lizard. All proceeds from the tournament will support educational and recreational programs at Onondaga Lake Park.

Onondaga Lake Park is located on Route 370/Onondaga Lake Parkway in Liverpool.
