Alliance Bank Stadium

Beaver Lake Nature Center

  • The Lakeview Trail is accessible for wheelchairs.
  • Visitor Center is accessible.

Carpenter’s Brook Fish Hatchery

Time Out to Fish Program

  • June 2-13, 2008, Monday-Friday, 9:30-11:30am – Reserved for school groups serving children with special needs.
  • June 16 -July 25, 2008, Tuesday-Thursday, 9:30-11:30am and 1:30-3:30pm - All groups, with Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons reserved for individual senior citizens and disabled persons.
  • Group size: Minimum 5, maximum 15
  • A fishing license is NOT needed to participate in this program.
  • Cost is $2 per adult, $1 per child. Reservations open Monday, May1 and are required, call Carpenter’s Brook at 689-9367.

Jamesville Beach Park

  • There is a wheelchair ramp and concrete sidewalk to the water's edge that is accessible.

Onondaga Lake Park

  • Wegmans Playground - A 35,000 square foot playspace for children of all abilities.
  • Shelter users-direct vehicle access to shelter allowed with permit issued from Onondaga Lake Park office, call 453-6712 or email olp@ongov.net before your visit.
  • Marina - ARISE has a pontoon boat that takes people out fishing. Contact ARISE for schedule.
  • Fishing - Wheelchair users have access to the base of the the Thruway bridge (via West Shore Trail) - the concrete abuttment is big enough to safely fish from in a chair. However, please note there are no rails.
  • Free use of amtrykes and wheelchairs for persons with special needs
  • The Wegmans Trams are wheelchair accessible

Rosamond Gifford Zoo

  • Carrier Conservation Center is accessible.
  • Wheelchairs are available to use free of charge on a first-come, first serve basis
  • Adult Lightwieght Travel Chairs are available for a small rental fee.
  • Guide Dog Policy: Fully trained guide dogs that are on-duty are allowed in the zoo with their owners. Guide dogs must be identified as such. Visitors requiring guide dogs are encouraged to call ahead. Some of our animals perceive dogs as predators. Therefore certain parts of the zoo may be off limits to zoo visitors with guide dogs due to animal welfare issues. We are happy to provide an escort to take visitors though these areas.
