3rd annual event returns to Syracuse to celebrate St Patrick's Day
Faugh A Ballagh! (Clear the Way!) The third annual award-winning Irish Road Bowling Tournament is returning to Onondaga Lake Park in Liverpool on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 10am. A popular past-time in Ireland for over 300 years, this unique mix of bocce, bowling and golf, which entails rolling a small cannonball, will take place along two miles of the park's East Shore Recreation Trail. Teams of four from throughout the area will be competing for the title of 2012 Champion.
Registration is now open and space is limited. Previous events have sold out. The entry fee is $100 per four person co-ed or single sex team. A commemorative t-shirt for each participant will be given out as well as first, second and third place team prizes. Each team will be issued a cannonball to use at the event. All proceeds from the tournament will support educational and recreational programs at Onondaga Lake Park.
