How many minutes should I exercise everyday?
(National guidelines)
Adults need to do 30 minutes of physical activity on most days. Children need at least 60 minutes of active play on most days.
How do you know if your body is getting a good workout?
If you can talk while doing your physical activity the pace is right for you. If you’re too breathless to talk, slow down. If you can sing, you may not be active enough-so get moving!
Safety tips: Protect your skin with sunscreen or a hat, even on a cloudy day. Drink water. Even when you swim and play in the water, you sweat. Check the safety and condition of play and exercise equipment. Wear a helmet when you are skating, biking, even on a tricycle. Proper footwear is important for protecting your feet and providing support.
During your visit to Onondaga County Parks, you may be photographed, videotaped, or filmed by Onondaga County Parks or authorized parties.
